概要 | The T2K experiment is a long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments situated in Japan.
The primary purpose of T2K is to search for electron neutrino appearance in a muon neutrino beam driven by the non-zero theta13. This talk will present the latest T2K results on the neutrino oscillation using the beam data collected up to April 2013, corresponding to more than twice of the published data set. With this amount of data, the MC expected significance for rejecting "no electron neutrino appearance" hypothesis reaches 5 sigma, the threshold for a definitive discovery. Discovery of electron neutrino appearance will be an important step towards exploring the unknown parameters in the three-neutrino oscillation model, such as the leptonic delta_CP, the octant of theta23, and the neutrino mass hierarchy.
